Embracing Our Social Responsibility
At NYCO, we recognize and embrace social responsibility as part of our business. We have allocated resources for the scientific testing of wollastonite. These tests and other independently conducted studies have consistently shown wollastonite to be a safe, non-hazardous mineral.
Through our Product Stewardship Program (PSP), we will continue to monitor and to control any risks associated with the production and use of wollastonite.
In addition, we are committed to applying the best green practices in all our activities. To this end, we have instituted the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) at all our wollastonite facilities.
Adhering to this EMS allows NYCO to:
- Identify and control the environmental impact of our activities, products and services;
- Improve our environmental performance continually;
- Implement a systematic approach to setting and achieving environmental objectives.
Our goal is simple: to provide a healthy and safe environment for all NYCO employees, and to ensure that all NYCO products can be safely used by our customers.
